Everything you need to keep track, nothing you don't

Built for the two minutes a day you actually want to spend on this. Every screen is designed around fast entry and a clear answer.

A dashboard that answers first

One panel leads with what you have spent this month and where that leaves your budget, with income and net balance underneath. Below it: the bills still to log, where the money went, and recent activity.

Budgets that know about recurring bills

Set a monthly budget and Spendwise reserves what your recurring expenses still need, so the "remaining" figure is money you can genuinely spend.

Recurring expenses, suggested for you

Every month, Spendwise surfaces the bills you haven't logged yet — with due dates and overdue warnings — so you log or mark them done in one tap.

Reminders for the habits that slip

A daily nudge to log the day's spending, a reminder for each recurring bill, and one for anyone whose balance is still unsettled — all scheduled on your device. The Reminders centre shows every schedule in one place and rebuilds them if one goes quiet.

Track who owes whom

Record money lent or borrowed and split shared expenses against a person. Each person gets a running balance and full history, with repayments logged as entries.

Groups for money you share

A trip, a household, a shared flat — each group keeps its own people, categories, transactions, budget and notes. A group's balances stay separate from the same person's balance in your personal ledger. Coming from an app that syncs through an account instead? Spendee vs Spendwise walks through what that changes.

Notes and checklists, kept with your money

Write notes or tick items off a checklist next to your spending, colour-code them, and pin up to four to the Dashboard. A fresh install starts with one of each, so you can see how they work.

Receipts attached to the expense

Add one photo or PDF — a receipt, an invoice, a warranty — and it travels with the record. Photos are resized for you, the app asks for no photo-library permission, and nothing is uploaded. Share a photo from another app and it opens in a new expense.

Reports you can read or hand over

Open any month or year for its expense trend, spending by category, and budget position — then export it as a PDF or a spreadsheet and share it from your phone.

Backup and restore you control

Export everything into a single file and put it wherever you like — cloud drive, computer, or SD card. Restoring replaces the app's data and takes a safety copy first.

Speaks your language, reads your currency

Choose the app language from 35 translations — including right-to-left Arabic and Persian — and set the currency every amount is shown in. Changing currency reformats your figures; it never converts them.

App Lock, if you want it

Optionally require your device biometrics or passcode to open Spendwise. Authentication is handled entirely by Android or iOS — Spendwise never sees it.

Privacy

Your spending is nobody else's business

Spendwise has no accounts and no cloud copy of your ledger. Anonymous usage analytics keep the app improving, and a single non-personalized ad keeps it free. Here is exactly what happens to your data.

What stays on your device

  • Transactions, amounts, notes, and dates
  • Categories, budgets, and recurring rules
  • Receipts and attachments you add
  • People you track money with, and their balances
  • Biometric unlock, handled by your device's OS
The two things that do leave

Anonymous usage analytics tell us which screens are used, and a non-personalized ad on the confirmation screen keeps the app free. Neither ever includes your amounts, descriptions, category or person names, notes, attachments, or balances, and the app never reads an advertising identifier. You can switch analytics off in Settings → Privacy, and where the law requires it you are asked before an ad is shown — decline and none is requested. The detail is in our privacy policy.

There is no account to create, nothing to log into, and no cloud copy of your ledger. Delete the app and the data goes with it.
